Advice on my marketing strategy

    Hello people

Let me tell you about my doubts :) I've been thinking for a while now to create serveral webpages (with their own domain), about 20 websites, each related to a different theme: hosting, clothing, blogs, news, money, crisis, travel, computers, etc.

I want to create a network this way, each site will have links to the other 19 sites of the group(let say a right column with the other sites links) but they all have independet content. The idea is to develop these sites for some months in order to gain pagerank, popularity, etc. and then add some advertising on each of them and see how that will work.

The thing is I asked myself today: What is best for SEO, PAGERANK, ADVERTISING, SEM, etc.? Buying 20 domains + hosting reseller account + renewing 20 domanis each year OR 1 single domain with a 20 links main menu ?

So, what would you ? Always considering that the main purpose is to earn some money IN TIME with these websites or website.

    Thanks

if your main purpose is indeed making money in some time and not right now, then go for your plan. register all 20 domains + hostings. dont expect any revenue the first couple of months. Heck you could even lose money on it. However you could gain some real value sites after a couple of months. if you know what you are doing seo-wise.

That's one heck of a lot of work for one person! Would you research and decide on your
first niche (or what is going to be your main one) and concentrate on that until it's
performing? And then gradually add the others, one at a time until you get where you
    want to be?

I think most of us have tried the "all things to all people" when we were first getting going.
    It simply doesn't work.

One domain name or one for each? If you can... grab one for each, so that it's absolutely
specific to that site's niche/target market. Doesn't matter if you won't be using them all
right now. It's getting harder and harder to find good .com names that aren't already taken.
The longer you wait, the more difficult it's going to be. For less than $10 each, they're a
pretty good investment if you come up with good ones. You can always sell them later on
if your plans change. Look for "bulk registration pricing" on a site like ShopSmartDomains.com

Here's what I question about your plan: It's too many niches.

I've read lots of advice that says pick one niche and slice & dice it with multiple sites.

For example, create 10 different travel sites, all on different domains. Link them all to one another. This way, you have relevancy in your our backlink system, to build the SEO of one another.

If you do all those different unrelated niches, I don't think any of your backlinks will boost any of your other sites. But put your PPC ads up so you get revenue from clicks that aren't your own links.

Hey guys. Thanks for all the advices. I think I got the point and the main conclusion is: "That's one heck of a lot of work for one person!" although jewel3000 idea is not that bad.

Anyway I would like to ask another thing. If I decide to buy a domain like hobbypictures.com (it's only on example). That is HOBBY + PICTURES. Is it worth to purchase hobbypics.com, pictureshobby.com, picshobby.com and redirect them to the main domain hobbypictures.com ? Do I get to win anything from that or it's just useless ?
