Advice on co.cc instead of .com domain

    I was thinking of making site/blogs on multiples topics so as to test whatever I've learned so far about SEO etc. I plan to use these sites for Adsense and Affiliates. I really can't afford to buy 10+ domains so was thinking of using a service like CO.CC instead the hosting is standard Blogger/Blogspot.

    What do u guys suggest??
    =>Buy Domain
    =>Use CO.CC
    => STick with XYZ.BLOGSPOT.COM

    Thnks :):)

    Forget about blogspot (please :) ) - it is my personal choice :)

    You can do it like this:
    I do not know now, but co.cc was free forever, then it changed to be free for 1 year only (it is policitis :) I don't wana get involved :))

    Go and buy a domain, for example, lets say you buy it from 1and1 with hosting included, if you are sure it will make money, buy another, if suspicious work on that hard.
    When you get stable income buy another, it will go like this
    Be patient!
    By the way, hosting (of 1and1) is not for only 1 website, it is for unlimited number of websites.

    Hi,

    As for myself, I started with blogspot. Eventually, I signed up for web hosting plan and get a dotcom domain name. If you want to earn money online in the long run, you will eventually need to get a professional looking domain name.

    IMO, you must buy a domain like a .com or .co.in domain (if India) if you are really serious about making money and sharing your knowledge to the world.
    you can stick to one domain first, when yoy get something in return, start working for more domains.

    In my opinion i would say start just 1.com or .net website and make it have all your different topics on, have main topic and perhap a "everything else part to the site. You will have your fingers in many different topics on the same website reaching out to all different types of people on the net. And also with many different Adsense terms. If you have a few sites when your new i think you will end up working on one more then the others. Start with one and build it up. Good luck.

    Buy 1 domain and pay for your own hosting at Godaddy, HostGator, etc. Don't try to build lots of sites at once if you've never done this before. You're MUCH better off trying to build just one. Building one is hard enough if it's your first. Hosting is dirt cheap... I pay like $8-9/month for deluxe hosting w/dedicated IP at Godaddy. I can setup as many sites under that one hosting agreement as I want. I have a ton of bandwidth, 5 or 10 emails, etc. MORE than enough to host several domains.

    Free hosting at places like wordpress.com, blogspot.com, etc. is a TOTAL waste of time and energy if you EVER want to do anything with your site. Most of their TOS agreements prohibit advertising on your sites. You typically can't even set up a custom 404 page... And should you EVER decide later to move to your own domain with paid hosting, they will NOT allow you to 301 redirect your old URLs at the free hosting site to your new "paid hosting" domain.

    So essentially if you ever WANT to move, everything you've built on the free hosted domain (all link building you've done) has to be thrown away and you are starting all over from scratch. They get you hooked and basically have you over a barrel once you start using them.

    If you can't afford $5/month to host a domain that costs $10-15/yr to own then you should probably spend your time learning to play guitar, fishing, or doing something else.

    There really is no such thing as a "free lunch".
