What does everyone think about using a Dash vs using "the" these are two examples:

    Hawaii-Forum.com or TheHawaiiForum.com

by the way this is just an example of the keywords...I'm using different ones.

    Thanks

If one of the sites might qualify as a type in.
I would develop[ the one with The since it fits in naturally with the way people think. And i would either park the other one and point it towards the 'The' domain. Or create a home page on it that has links that lead to the 'The' domain.

Having them both up might create a situation where you can effectively target more of your main keywords from your home pages, as you could split them in priority between the 2 sites.

I'd say the dash. It's easier to remember surprisingly in this case and also it will be ranked higher in search engines. :D

Well think of it this way. Dashes are better for SE, non dashes are better for people.

I think dashes would be a good start for Se.

Using a dash is good in many ways

    1. SE friendly

    2. Its very eye catching to separate a 2 word domain with a "dash" rather than putting 2 words all together

    3. Easy to read and understand

    4. Very easy to remember

But on the other hand having a one word/phrase Domain name is quite good too, since i have very positive experience i can tell you both ways work fine (for me) but having a dash make it little easy for the eye

Don't Spend another dime on domain name registration
