I would really appreciate if you could give me some advice. I would like to earn with affiliate marketing but a past experience years ago of making only pennies made me give up. I'm considering starting again but have the same fear that the market is too crowded and a waste of time. I don't have any great Web skills but would like to know if anyone is actually making any good money with affiliate marketing and is it only for those that can pull in thousands of visitors. Is making 3000 dollars monthly possible or is it a waste of time? Thanks.
we had a good opportunity on affiliates marketing few years back and it still work Amazon associates use to work better but as you experience now competitive market and need at least some skill to fight,,its ok if you dont have any web skills but find what you best for and try to implement that to make money as long as i see that all i can say now
If you want to really earn as an affiliate marketer you've got have these basic skills: a) A flair for writing - This is a primary requirement because as an affiliate, you should be in a position to create unique contents for your web pages (to harness the potential of the internet). b) Willingness to learn - If you have limited web skills, you should have the motivation to learn and develop your skills. These are not rocket science and can be developed easily. c) Wise in your investment - There are plenty of free resources available on the internet to start your journey as an affiliate marketer. So, you must be very cautious about your investments from the very beginning. d) Consistent in your efforts - You must be consistent in your promotional activities as an affiliate marketer. This can include activities like finding a good product (something which has a demand in the market) in your niche exploring and testing all methods to promote your products online building your own list In spite of all the competition, it is possible to earn a decent income as an affiliate marketer; but it takes time. If you have never made a penny as an affiliate, never begin you journey with a figure like 3000 dollars. Set small goals. If you know how to earn as little as 1 dollar online, all you should be doing next is to repeat the process over and over again. Remember, small achievable targets (and goals) help you stay focussed, as you begin your journey. Never try out too many things out of sheer excitement. Choose (or change) your methods only after you have tested them thoroughly for your products. Our best wishes on your AM journey!
I do not do affiliate marketing, but I have some advice, anyway. Don't get caught up in the mechanism (affiliate marketing) and focus instead on your potential sales situation. What I mean is can you identify a market that you know and understand and that has a need for a product or service that you could be in a position to offer because you know something about it? If you can answer this question, you will have the information that you need to start your own business. It is possible that you can then find the "solution" to the market's need via affiliate marketing, but you may find another way to do this, as well. The sales mechanism or channel is a secondary issue in any business plan.
I really do agree with Somen, also i would advise you to practice using social media as much as you can this is a great tool for marketing with no website and helps you great a target audience and raise awareness of your product.
Head over to http://www.smartpassiveincome.com. Pat Flynn has all the resources you need. I wouldn't advise using clickbank and sites like that. Choose high quality products that are relevant to your topic, and establish relationships with companies that you'll be promoting. You'll get higher commissions and provide a better service.
I totally agree with Somen and everyone else. The only other crucial thing i would add to all this is your mindset! You have to learn to have an open mind, positive-spirited one and choose a product that you yourself believe in. I just started about 3 months ago myself and i am making small wins so far, consistency, willingness to learn and mindset are key to this online success. You can visit my blog OnlineWorkSuccess.com for the daily experiences, tips and knowledge i learn & share there. My goal as well is to actually earn $3,000 per month. So far, i'm on $70.70. To your success!
it's really possible to earn $3,000 per month. however, it depends on how many visitors you have. also, what kind of visitors you have first of all, you need to do some researches on what kind of content can make good money. for example, casino/forex/binary offer can pay up to $350 per conversion. PPI offer only pays $1 per conversion.
Thanks Jeff I really want to start but my worry is will I need thousands of visitors daily to earn a good mmonthly income? That is what stops me from starting. It could take mme years to get thousands of visitors. I'm really anxious right now as I want to start but that feeling of months of work with no reward stops me. What sort of income do newish people earn monthly? Does anyone know if WordPress is enough to build a website or is that for blogs only or are there any free website builders out there? Thanks
@pce850, let me share my views on your queries... 1. You will not always need thousands of visitors daily to earn a good monthly income. You will need to learn how to do it and it's not difficult either. You will need to stick to your plan and be consistent in whatever you do. In fact my first website had very little traffic, i.e. too less to be discussed in public or even set an example, but it was earning enough to cover my annual hosting plan. So, ideally, you should focus in concentrating on achieving little targets instead of setting out to be a millionaire. Once you succeed, just repeat your actions. That should keep you moving. 2. Wordpress is extremely powerful. It is meant for blogging but you can have complete websites with the best of security. I have never worked on any other platforms and I guess, I am not alone. All the best.
I find that affiliate marketing can be much more profitable when you build your own email list of qualified buyers. Think about it this way. If you build your own list you can have people leave you their email and you'll be growing your list all the time. This can be a true asset. That way you can actually start and create a relationship with them by mailing them. Also with email list you can create relationship much more faster than with a blog when people just visit it sometimes. People check their mail every day and even a few times a day. If you build targeted list and give them valuable things they will read your mails. After you already gave them some good content and they are used to getting mails from you, it will be much easier to sell them affiliate products GUARANTEED. Now imagine yourself having an email list full of people that bought from you in the past at least something. It is 10 times easier to sell to somebody that trusted you in the past and invested money, then to be selling to new random people that just happen to come to your site.
Don't worry about competition, especially if you are looking to make $3,000/month. Just remember, it's not the amount of visitors you get per day, only focus on conversion rate. For example, if you can get 100 visits a day to your website, and make 10 sales, it's better than having 10,000 visits a day and zero sales. My only advice is to be very targeted about your traffic source, the more the better. Now it depends on your investment money, do you have any? If you have thousands, then adult affiliate is the best.
Thanks Somen and everyone for the great advice. Chad I don't have investment money unfortunately will that make it difficult for me to get traffic and earn income from the affiliate marketing?
Try building a email list and market your affiliate products that way. The cost is low. This may help you to build a responsive list and if not it costs very little. http://earning-money-from-home.net/List/
Building e-mail list is surely a great option; however, the cheapest autoresponder will cost you anything between 15 to 20 bucks a month. This can be a burden for someone who has limited resources. Mailchimp (autoresponder) is one great option to begin with. Both Free and Paid options are available with them. I will suggest @pce850 to explore Mailchimp for this activity. Hope this helps.
I have my own Affiliate Website (Forex trading) My earnings are more than 1200€/Month (1400 dollars) What is my success? I want to tell you that is not about thousands traffic!...my website has 30 - 70 daily visitors and I earn more than someone who has 1500 - 3000 daily visitors. Whole Affiliate marketing is only about few things.. 1. you should have "Great" written text/guide to interest your visitors. 2. your website should have Facebook Likes and Reviews! 3. add some video about your product/service And finally Content. Add some great content to your website to get more visitors... TRY and FALL....again TRY and FALL....................................WIN!!!
I would for sure suggest blogging to get you started. Get noticed by others putting up valuable content that has true value. Don't sell to your visitors until you have built some kind of authority in their eyes. The problem that a lot of new Affiliate marketers have is that they care about getting the sale ahead of giving value. If people see that you are giving rather then selling, they will come back. You can always start selling once you've built a following and created value.
