    Hello :)

My name is Mpa and im fairly new to web development i have just finished reading 2 books regarding HTML and CSS

"Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML" by Eric and Elisabeth Freeman

"CSS: The Missing Manual " by David Sawyer McFarland

I have also watched few videos/course online

My goal is to create an online store that delivers for my local city also and let people create store online in my site ( kind of like very simple version of ebay for my local city )

Holiday is next month im looking to learn ALOT[ order many books from amazon and watch many videos/courses )

    1) I really need guideline on what topics should i hit next do i need to learn more advanced/solutions of html css or go to web application

    2) What web application do i choose best suited for my idea ( i heard many people talk about PHP/MySQL/Javascript but really how each language contribute on the site and what good order to learn them )

3)how comfortable do i need to get in one topic before going to next one or just learn them all together

    4) Is the site idea possible to be one man show (design/develop/maintain) at first few months?( im really taking it seriously and considering web career starting from this site )

(Note: Im not looking for software that "Do it all for you" )

(Thank you for your time and sorry for my bad English )

I sugest you to go with something already done: a free or paid platform that does this for you. You can use OpenCart, prestashop, to build your store online. Start with this and then you will find what is the next step. Don't try to learn everything now, you'll learn in the way. But even if you are an very experienced programmer you would still use an already made solution. This is the way things goin on right now, You can spend 6 months developing a software that will have a lot of bugs and will be a bad copy of another software, or you can use an already made software and customize it, improve it and the results are amazing, you have instantly a simple version of what you need, and after 1-2 months of customizations you can make a great website. You'll learn things in the way.

Learning html & css is a good start but you'll also need to dive into some other programming languages like PHP, JQuery and so forth if you want to built an object-oriented website. You'll save a lot of time if you go with an already preexisting shopping cart than later on down the line you can have a custom built site, at your own expense of course, tailored with the features and other functionalities you need to expand your business.
