So I'm starting a subscription site.. http://www.recipeswithlove.com My target market is families who have very little time to cook. The program send menus, recipes and shopping like to subscribers every Sunday. The price monthly is $15.95 a month. I think the price is fair. I added the site to paydotcom.com I wanted to add to click bank but I already have on ebook on that site and I just don't know how to make another program. I could really use some advice. Like what software will make it easier for me. I already have 30 issues written out. Since I'm a mom myself ( son is 4 months old) I kinda know where to place ads. My site however is very girlish.. do you think I should make it more neutral? Like a black or a simple white? What about the sales page? Is it ok? As you can tell this is my very first subscription program and I really want it to be great. My goal is to get 30 subscribers to stay for years. Any advice would be super.. Thanks so much and HAPPY FRIDAY!
Well, one glaring issue is that your image on the home page is massive, not only in dimensions but more noteworthy, its file size. I would be happy to fix that for you real fast. Nigel
Exactly the same comment I'd make as well. I'm on a fast connection here and that image still took some time to load. I'd look to get some more content on the right hand column 'above the fold' as well to capture people's attention.
I do suggest you buy some WP premium theme to make your site look professional. You can create buzz by offering the client for 1 month free,if they like it they can continue subscribe.
I'd actually thought about a similar kind of site for my area (I'm in Europe). I think you should consider perhaps a more neutral colour scheme as well...plenty of us guys like to cook, y'know!
