Hi i have just made my first website i am quite happy with it at the moment. http:www.web-developmenthub.com I am looking for any advice or feedback to ensure I can make my site be as good as possible. The site generally is for web developers wanting to easily find all the best learning sources or useful tools around. Any feedback would be great. Thanks
Well... I won't comment on the sources, since I haven't looked into them, but the site itself has some issues. First off, it does not work well on small screens (mobile etc) - you should work on your styling for that. (Granted, tested on the mobile view in Firefox, not actual phones, so if you have some stupid browser-check, that might be it). As for the site itself, it seems to be working, however it's gonna be a lot of clicking to get to resources. Perhaps filter even stronger than now, and place everything in one category on one page, at least if there is less than 30-40 resources. The hover-info functionality won't work very well on touch-screens, so you might want to work on that a bit.
I viewed the site on a big screen and I struggled to really understand what I was looking for and how to find answers to any technical problems I might have. It's fine for casual viewing because what I saw looked interesting but most of the time I don't have time to just casually wade through a site until I find an answer to a problem.
