hi there Can someone tell me how they feel about owning and operating an article directory. Can you really make money doing it and what about duplicate content? i mean if everybody is excepting submission from software and article submission services. How does google know not to penalize an article directory for having the same content as another article directory? Has anyone acheived any moderate success running this type of online business? Is it feasible for me to make about $5000 a month with a site like this without using pay per click advertising what do you think about the whole article directory biz Is it really worth it Inquiring minds will like to know thanks
Nobody is going to assist you who is actually in the article directories. Why would anyone give you help getting into their market. Do some personal research and trial and error. Nobody is going to teach you how to make money, there is only so much people give away
i understand your point but just becuse you start a website doesnot mean your gonna make money. i would hope people are broad minded enough to understand that the internet is way big enough to have many successful article directories. i just want to know if its really worth all the hype people on the net are too damn greedy, they aint making no real money but (im not talking about you... but just the attitude I see in people on the net) their scared to network and share real info Cmon what im asking is not that revealing. If the shoe was one the other foot I would definately say yes because I make money or say no if its a waste of time
It's basic business conduct not only online. You seem to be very upset that people are hiding financial secrets and saying they are greedy when infact your question was completly based on capitol gain. How does that work?
Any other business, you will make only what you put into it. Promotion, promotion, promotion. One word of advice, if you get an article directory site, do not load it up with tons of content found elsewhere. Let visitors fill it up for you. I see too many article directories come on line advertised that they have 10,000 or more articles already in the database. Who would want to go to a new article directory loaded with crap? Do not go into any business thinking that adsense or any other advertising venue will make you money. I really think that to start a site without any advertising on it at all is the way to go. Get the visitors first, then at some point, introduce advertising.

I think it's a great idea ! I myself have been thinking of starting one too, using the 'article dashboard' software. I submit lots of articles to sites, and I notice that many of these sites use the same 'article dashboard' software. It looks clean and is fine. I couldn't care less what the article sites uses or looks like, I just am submitting my article, not praising what tool they use. I think articles are very hot and will continue to be that way. I would go for it if I was use. I am probably going to create and host my article site on yahoo as I have used them in the past, and love their hosting tools. I doubt if you could make $5k a month with an article site, but you may make $100.00 in time, then keep slowly going up. But who knows, you won't know unless you try. Id listen to my heart and follow my dreams before listening to others, remember: Most friends say an idea will fail........ Only because it wasn't their idea....... The other reason is 'Jealously'.

There is a new article directory script that looks way better than dashboard or the other article site scripts used. I had article submitter script and it was so busy... Then I bought this script and it is a world of difference! Go to the buy, sell, trade forum and under either content or services you will find dvduval selling the script for ten bucks....worthy investment.
