Hi there. . I have a few years relatively light experience in PHP and I'm thinking about learning ASP since there seems to be considerably better job oppourtunities available for ASP developers.

Does anybody who's been through similar have any advice (or good links, books etc) as a starting point?

Sorry if this has been asked many times before, I had a look and couldn't find a similar topic.

You could try the asp.net web site, they have a lot of videos etc. I would concentrate on asp.net not classic asp.

and learn c#, there's a massive shortage of good c# programmers and they're fetching a real premium - at least that's the case here in the UK.

Definitely jump into ASP.NET with C#

4guysfromrolla.com is an excellent resource; however if you're starting completely from scratch "for Dummies" can at least give you some entre.

I've a whole shelf full of ASP.NET books, and frankly, I don't find any of them really all that great.
