    Hey all

I'm just looking for some individual advice on my website, ways to improve SEO etc etc.. I'm running joomla, I've set up alot of keywords and done a fair bit of social bookmarking.

Basically it's a satirical news website, design isnt 100% just yet, though I'd like to see some regular incoming (and returning) traffic.

The site can be found here http://www.wetpapernews.com . Looking forward to some good quality suggestions.

    Cheers

    index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=79:ba-student-graduates-with-direction-career-path&catid=34:local-news&Itemid=63 URLs look crazy.

Just my opinion. Try to fix this, things will get better.

Is it a news site? Or is it a blog? If it's a news site, I will suggest you try some advertisement.

Thanks for the feedback, yeh its a satirical news website - a spin on real world news.

I've tried to shorten the URLS in the Global Configuration - selecting 'Search Engine Friendly URL's' - however this makes my pages inaccessible, so I'm searching for a joomla extension now.

    Cheers

The Joomla extension youa re looking for is called SEF URLs, I remember the time working with that extension. It shortens your urls in fact you can completely replace your urls using that extension/plugin.
