Hey guys, looking for some advice here.

I've recently started promoting my new website - Today I Lol'd

It's going fairly well, but I need to promote in new ways. I've already created a facebook page and twitter account. I've also blogged about it.

I've put it on my sigs on a few forums, and some friends have kindly done the same.

Is there much else I can do? I don't really have much money right now so paying for stuff won't be easy.

Every little helps, so I'd appreciate anything you guys have to say. Feel free to join and/or submit some stories by the way, I think it's the kind of site everyone can enjoy.

My advice, get a better web design and put Facebook Connect there. Make a group or app in Facebook and go to offtopic.com forum.

I agree on the design, personally i find it too bright. I don't find the text so pleasant to read, maybe another font?
Post in the review section to get it reviewed for some suggestions on design.

Marketing: Facebook fan-pages are great, a little tool called Static fbml gets you a long way costumizing.

Now i didn't sign up for an account so i don't know if you already have this, but a newsletter once in a while(every week or every 2nd week maybe?) with the latest stories and top stories since last newsletter.

SEO'ing the right keywords may be a way too - link exchanging with joke sites maybe.

    Good luck

And maybe make a competition where the best submitted story wins.
May attract more and better quality stories.
