advice for my blog?

I just started this blog 2 weeks ago and am getting 2000 page impressions a day now. do you have advice for getting more page clicks? I did really good one day, $27, but today I have so little clicks but lots of people coming to see.

can I do that with a blogspot though? I put my ad code in the blog body before and it would not works, like it did not like the javascript. I thought I could only put in the special places where blogspot says to?

on the green background, make your ads brighter make it stand out and and ont he blue backgorund make the ad title color different, cause the links dont look like links...placement is nice...
