Hello- My site www.diet-pill-review.com was briefly ranking #5 on Google for a search of 'Diet Pill Reviews'. This lasted for nearly 1 month, but then all of a sudden my site disappeared from the results pages - I'm not even sure which page I rank on now. From the beginning, I have done the following to optimize my search engine placement: 1. Validate HTML. 2. Proper use of H1, Keywords, and META tags. 3. Submitted articles with relevant keywords and backlinks. 4. Submitted Press Releases to both PRWEB and PRLEAP. 5. Submitted to 40+ directories. 6. Traded links with related websites (this has been difficult because of the nature (diet pill) of my website. 7. Been patient . Is there anything that I'm missing?
8. Relevant content and plenty of it 9. Good internal navigation 10. Pages themed around your individual keywords There could be 100's of things explaining why your site dropped out. Very hard without looking at it.
I've struggled with this and I'm not sure if I have an optimal navigation structure. As you can see on my site http://www.diet-pill-review.com, all of the links to each diet pill are on the left hand side. I've thought about breaking these down into categories (or perhaps alphabetically) to provide a more organized navational structure. I'm not sure how this would have an effect on my search engine ranking. Any thougts?
My thoughts after a quick glance: 1) There must be more than 100 IBL's on each of your pages. Surely, they can't all be relevant for each individual page? Instead I suggest you make category links on your left menu. Preferably with the active category opened, showing the relevant links for that page and category. Your sitemap. Make it categorized as well, but keep the categories opened showing the page links indented. 2) Quick suggestion: Make your Meta Keyword tag individual for each page - or throw the tag away completely 3) Another quick suggestion: Check with a Keyword density tool that you are not overfilling you pages with keywords. 4) Oh, another suggestion: Page Titles (<title tag>) and Meta description, hand craft them to the users. Just like writing a good adverticement. Remember you have the ability with the Page Title and Meta Description tags to control (to a degree) how the searchers will see your pages in the SERPS. Put you KW first or close to the beginning of the Page Title.
Tue- Thanks for taking a look. I'm going to try to find a method for implementing categories for the pages. This is tough because all diet pills, weight loss pill, fat burners, etc. are basically the same. I can't really identify categories that they would break down into.
Any other advice? I've decided to break the pages up into subcategories and will also be adding a section that describes and defines the ingredients that are commonly used in diet pills. It's surprising to me that it is so difficult to rank high for the term 'Diet Pill Reviews' when there are so many unrelated sites ranking high (spammers).
Hello, I joined this forum because I must do something for my site I have spent thousands of dollars since 1999 and the site is still hovering arround PR2, Somehow I found Brad Callen's Seo software, which I am considering to buy. I also signed up with Linkmetro, however I am totally unfamiliar with html, consequently I can't enter the links. I do have a webhost to do this, but it would be a very expensive undertaking. My quest for advise 1. Can a cyber challenged artist figure out SEOELITE? 2. Will it help me to enter the links in my site 3. I understood the becoming an advanced member of Linkmetro will automatically insert all links in my site. Thank you so much for your help Faux La la
Just taking my thread back from Faux La La. Anyway, I'm still looking for advice on improving my SEO. Thanks.
