Advice for best domain name for personal site

    I would like to register my name as a domain. The site will be used for my portfolio to potential employers. The only problem is that my name is pretty common and .com, .net, and .org have all been taken.

    The alternatives I have come up with are

    firstnamelastname.info
    firstnamelastname.us
    firstname-lastname.net
    firstname-lastname.org
    firstnamemiddleinitiallastname.com

    Which one would be best to register?

    my choice would be

    firstnamelastname.com
    firstnamelastname.us

    middleinitial between those....just if you want to be unique...very unique...not so desirable.

    I would go for .com domain and maybe a .net in the first was not available depending if the .com version had a site similiar to what i was building with the .net

    if this is going to be a professional site then i would recommend u contact the owners of .com name and try to get the domain from him

    if it is undeveloped he will probably sell it to u
