I am a recent graduate struggling to find a full-time marketing position. I've had some part-time marketing positions previously. I have an interview coming up on Tuesday for a position that I think I would really enjoy. Any advice or tips you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Here is the job description for the position: This corporate marketing assistant will provide clerical support for B2B tactical marketing initiatives (both internal and external) that increase awareness, generate sales opportunities, and improve prospect knowledge and decision-making. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the entire marketing team plus additional characters throughout sales and business development. This is an entry-level opportunity for an inspired individual to learn and grow in a vigorous environment. •Know LT sales/marketing/brand strategies; understand how your projects contribute to those strategies •Help prepare marketing plans, kickoff meetings, storyboarding, presentations, status reports •Handle logistics and act as point of contact with vendors associated with marketing projects •Assist in the implementation of various market research activities such as surveys •Manage fulfillment of various sales/marketing activities such as sample kits/collateral •Work with a database to do lead formatting, import and status reporting •Handle marketing admin functions including budget/spending, scheduling, filing, reporting •Handle purchasing and invoice reconciliation Required Skills •PC proficiency in Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) •Strong verbal and written communication skills •Good organizational & time management skills •Attention to detail in grammar, content, framework, design and function •Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and handle high pressure/deadlines •Ability to handle confidential information •Print production experience and web production experience helpful •Must exhibit outstanding coordination, follow up, and communication skills (verbal and written). •Trade show experience is strongly preferred Required Experience •Bachelors Degree in Marketing or above desired •0-2 years professional experience in marketing, public relations or related fields. •Familiarity with electronics industries and/or B2B marketing strongly preferred.
