Hi all, We are selling our business domain/website to another local company. They already have a brand and domain established that they want to keep, however, their organic rank is not as good as ours so they purchased our domain. What is the best way of insuring our link juice is going to help them? I've read that 301 redirects are not a guaranteed tactic. True? Not true? Suggestions? The other option is to keep our website "as is" but change the image based logo out and not refer to the other business by name in the html or seo keywords, so it will serve as a glorified landing page for the business so they can receive leads from it. Good idea? Thanks in advance.
Ok, I'll try to step in Don't know where you read that a 301 redirect will not keep the link juice but this is just plain wrong. There are various ways to redirect traffic, but the 301 is actually the most efficient, keeping around 90% of the link juice. Simple as that.
