OK, so I have kind of a unique problem here -- I started putting multiple videos in one player (using Brightcove, but of course YouTube now has the same kind of player available)... but this brings up an issue with AdSense, as it only changes on a full page refresh (it's against policy to refresh with JS... already been there). With many people on the same page watching videos for an hour+, it'll never refresh, and of course that's really bad. So basically I need a service that allows me to refresh the adverts without a full page refresh. Do you guys know of anything?
Put your ads into an iframe. Have the iframe do an automatic refresh every 2-5 minutes (this can be done with javascript). Next - forget adsense. Go with a company like Bidvertiser or another CPM network instead. You'll make more money and I don't believe it violates their TOS to do this. Problem solved Alternative solution #1 - hire a flash developer to build a flash application that can rotate the ads from a database or something. This would probably be costly though. Alternative solution #2 - setup AJAX on your site. You can use it to refresh the ads on your page without using an iframe.
Dropping AdSense is the only way anyways, using an iframe won't work since it has no content to display relevant ads. I was mostly asking for companies that would allow it, so thankyou for the Bidvertiser reccomendation... I'll give it a shot. I'll also add that the site is in the gaming category, so it's difficult enough as it is to get relevant ads, without fighting this problem too. All the CPM/CPC networks just seem to have nothing in inventory, and I don't have enough hits yet (around 10K unique/month) to get any straight deals. Ty
