Hi there. I want to allow people to advertise on my site, but I don't use Google AdSense at all? With the code you use, is this possible at all? Thanks, Biggy Bop
Yes. All the code does is serve ads; it isn't tied to AdSense or any other third party in particular. You can put in a default ad to show and if you have advertisers bidding on your ad space, they will be sorted by the DigitalPoint system. AdSense is not an advertiser, so AdSense wouldn't be involved at all in the process unless you yourself have it as one of your backups.
Ah right, got that! Was just a little confused by what was said (system is configured to show your AdSense ads when no advertisers are bidding there). Anyway, that's cleared it up for me, I will look to get into the DP Ads system as soon as my site is online! Thanks a lot.
You're welcome. When you do enter your site, you have the option to display AdSense, a blank/collapsed space, or another page as your backup for each ad format. What I did was put the ad code for my highest-yielding network into an HTML page, then I linked that page in the DigitalPoint Ads interface.
Yep, that is likely to be what I will do too as it's probably the best way to do it, if I think about it properly... Thanks for sharing your tips, you got me interested!
