What are your advertising techniques for google adwords? Do you place your ad next to a competitor? do you use negative ads? Post your favorite techniques here
I think your getting a bit confused, you can use negative keywords not ad's, this works well to prevent your ad's from being shown for unrelated queries. 'Free' is a common negative keyword when advertising for paid products/services. Aren't all ad's that aren't yours competitors? I think it's best to work on the postioning which performs best for your site.
A well targeted keyword list ensure relevant clicks for your business or service. Not using negative keywords can mean that your ad rarely reaches users who will want your business or service. So, you should carefully make the list of your potential keywords along with the negative keywords before you add them to Ad groups.
Successful advertising requires a concentated and well thought out advertisement. - Relevance - Value for money (is the keyword worth the $dollars) [especially with the same keyword on other advertising networks] - Eye catching/clearness (not just some random drivel) Its very easy to waste money on advertising, its very hard (for some people at least) to create a really successful campaign. I personally like to plan stuff on paper first. What am I promoting? Demographic/Target Customer Write a clear description (misleading descriptions can generate clicks without any customers at the end of it, because what you are offering is not what they thought you were offering) Write in language/choose keywords that your target customer would understand. P.S Make sure your landing page is decent enough to instill confidence in the buyer to make the purchase.
