Advertising sports betting site with Adsense?

Hello! I own a website about sports betting and I`d like to use Adsense to promote it. But I`m a bit confused: In the "Google AdSense Program Policies", it says:
"Sites displaying Google ads may not include:
    .........
    -Gambling or casino-related content"

Now, if you can`t promote gambling with Adsense, why is it that I found on several sites Google Ads about betting? How is that possible?
I attached here a print screen with an example.

I think those ads are not into betting/ gambling.

The ebooks are about betting, and the betting calculators... what do they serve for? :)

you cant have adsense on "-Gambling or casino-related content" ,but you can use adwords.
you can't use adsense on adult sites, but as you can see, you can use adwords. :D

Yes, Zodiac has spotted it. You want to become an AdWords advertiser - the rules aren't the same as AdSense. Google aren't quite so ethical and morally upstanding when it comes to which AdWords advertisers they accept - money is money all the same. Consequently you do get 'Ads by Google' displaying content that would be banned on the sites of AdSense publishers.

Thanks, zodiac. Since Adsense and Adwords are the same system, just that one is used by advertisers, and the other, by webmasters who want some extra cash, I think it's silly to use different rules for them. Well... Google knows best :)

What about if you run affiliate links to gambling sites (i.e. bookmakers) but your site isn't about gambling?

I think that's okay as long as the actual format of the ad isn't offensive - for example a FriendFinder ad with nudity would not be a good option.
