    Hello,
I have seen that advertising price for 100x100 banner on Alexa is $6000 on a page that recives 2 300 000 views/month

Does that mean that if our website has 400 000 views/month advertising price for 100x100 banner is proportionaly smaller and equalt $900/month with some discount?

    Thank you!

(hits per month) / (ad size) x (website reliability)

with alexa, people really recognise the site so, just assessing income based on hits is not the best approach

try it though. juts be prepared to 'negotiate'

Generally i would stick to $1 per 1,000 impressions so if your website receives 100,000 impressions a month then you could sell the advertising space for $100 a month.

the website recives 400 000 impressions a month now in dead season, it will be more now when the season starts :)

I like your idea ... according to this I could sell advertising for $400/month :)

With that kind of impressions I would say around $500 would be more realistic. I like that $1 per 100 impression idea as well:)

It depends on the traffic you have.. mostly look at the number of uniques per day

Obviously as proximity said the traffic also should take account for how much you charge the more targeted the better for your website and obviously the better for the advertiser.

So if a lot of your traffic is from search engines it will be highly targetted which will allow you to back up reasons as to why you can price your advertising for that amount.

    Good Luck with your advertising.

    Yeah that's true ...
my traffic is football targeted ... some advertisers didn't want to listen to me ...

one of them came to me with a poker website ... I said "man, no one will click on a poker banner when they are watching football" ... he didn't want to listen and insisted that he pays me ... at the end he is not happy with results :D

Of course, only football websites will get nice exposure at my website, maybe, just maybe other sport websites would get nice exposure and clicks ... but mainly football

anyway, I am not accepting non sport ads anymore because at the end I end up guilty and ripping them off while the truth is that they didn't think about it before deciding ...

    probably :D
