Just wonder if DP has every thought about creating static parking pages like sedo or google... Just suggesting it might be an alternative for those failing elsewhere.

Neither is sedo, it's done through nameservers... or parking.digitalpoint.com, anyway never mind, you obviously haven't thought about it.

Not really sure what you mean to be honest... Domains we own that aren't in use are parked... But digitalpoint.com isn't because well, it's in use.

The basics of it are that if you had a small script attached to eg: parking.digitalpoint.com that would grab a url eg: parking.digitalpoint.com/http://someOtherDomain.com and link to your existing advertising script.

SELECT id FROM sometable WHERE url = http://someOtherDomain.com

Relevant ads from keywords provided by the someOtherDomain owner would appear on a cleverly designed (splash)ad page, an example google (splash)ad page like youralltalk.com {shamless plug} shows relevant ads from googles hosted/parked (same thing) domains. With google they give domain owners a choice, set a domain through A Records or NameServers. Adding keywords are also an optional feature.

As far as I'm aware A Records can be used on subdomains at your end, through nameservers to catch external domain names so the original someOtherDomain name stays in the address bar. But that's the technical end, the basics are above.

This is as above something you may or may not have looked into, I currently have 5 domains parked with google making a very small amount each week, I've tried sedo as well, I'm sure there's others, this thread is just a mere suggestion to ad this feature to DP, ie: more traffic to DP, more ad revenue to you and your members who take part, possible thousands of idol domain names all pointing to DP

Yeah, not really sure it would be worth the effort to do it in terms of advertising, but it did give me an idea for something else... :)
