Advertising on Social Networks ?

    I have a PR = 2

    I would like to create a business site on Twitter and Facebook & post art-related articles pointing to my site.

    I have heard of sites going viral after a few weeks. How do you attract visitors to a social site?

    You're not going to go viral with that site - not a snowball's chance in hell.
    There's nothing wrong with it, but it's dull, functional (and very old-fashioned looking)
    To go viral you need to be funny / controversial / useful
    Buy in /commission /make/ a program that converts photos online to Van Gogh style - something like that - that could go viral

    I'm not looking to go viral at all, just pick up as many followers as possible who are interested in art and maybe have sites or blogs and could put in a link to mine.

    It's just a very functional site for a small group who is interested in hi res fine art images - graphic artists, collectors, etc

    I'm trying to go from pr = 2 to pr = 3 and be on the first page in serp for my keywords I want to be found by
