    How do I advertise on exact search phrases?

    Right now I'm advertising for the keyword how to fix _______ , but my ad shows up for other terms aswell. How can I only advertise specifically to that term? Do I have to put "" around the search phrase, or [], or something else?

    Use "" and [].

    And make a search for your keyword in google and then include every single word where you don't want your ad to show with the "-" in front of it.

    So if you are selling a product you might want to put things like "-free" (without quotations) into your list of keywords.

    Good luck

    Download AdWords Editor from:
    http://www.google.com/intl/en/adwordseditor/

    This will enable you to set keyword match type easily across multiple ad groups or campaigns, but as is mentioned above the keyword matching types within the AdWords web interface are:
    [product] = exact match
    "product" = phrase match
    product = broad match

    Hope this helps
