    there are lots of ways; I am offering my new book on traffic generation for free so please check it out (shamless plug I know). Have a read of the book then pm me with specfic questions and I can help you out, but have a read of the book first...thanks

    If you want quick traffic though then adwords is for you (need money) or seo if you have more time than money. Do not expect 'quick' results with seo though.

    Since it is your site, only you can know that. You put ads in sites that you think its visitors may like what you have.

    If you really want to get things together for getting your resources properly lined up for getting targeted website traffic, you should be doing a real mentoring course.

    Chasing answers in forums won't solve your problem.

    There are over 20 major traffic methods, and thousands of advertising sites. Of all the advertising available, dollar for dollar, a good ad in a quality ezine will do the most for you. InternetAd.biz

    That's true to a certain extent, but you shouldn't completely ignore forums either. Just try to ignore all the posters who promote too good to be true product and services. As you compile more information, you'll learn to filter all the bs and the forums will become very useful.
    In the mean time, try promoting your site without spending a dime. Article marketing, social bookmarking, link exchange, and forum posting are all basic tasks, none the less still very effective.

    If you have the budget, I would recommend setting up a pay per click campaign with Google, Yahoo and MSN. This will get you instant exposure and traffic. If you lots of time and no budget, then work on your organic search ranking by building links into your website.
