Advertising Methods

I am getting a good amount on both of my directories at the moment, but what methods would you recommend to increase these?

When you say a good amount, do you mean income or traffic or submissions or something else?

Or that your already using a good amount of advertising methods?

 

Sorry, I explained that horribly.

I meant that I'm getting a good amount of traffic and submissions, income isn't that good though.

 

Are they free directories or paid?

 

They are free.

 

I guess you could turn them both paid, im not sure what your currently using.

I agree with most ppls here that ads are not going to make the OP rich on a directory!
But, has anybody had much luck converting their free directory over to paid?

 

when converting from free to paid, things are a bit different and promotion means are the most important part. You should think about it before you turn paid.

Personnally I had luck

 

I kept my directory free for a year before going paid. There was a small period in between where I was hardly getting any submissions, but sure enough they started coming through consistently.

 

I turned my dir from free to paid a few months ago and i haven't had any submissions so far

 

Perhaps stop the current promotion you are using and try a few new ones.

 

I'm not doing any advertising at the moment.
