Advertising Freelance Projects Site

    I'm about to aggressively advertise my first and primary project that I manage: WorkAsFreelancer.com
    I know that there are a hundred different ways to advertise and promote business related sites, though I'm unsure what the most successful one would be for such a site. The site has a big advantage of its competitors as it is free and offers very comprehensive profiles for each of its users. Because of that, it shouldn't be so complicated to promote it, however, I'm looking for an effective way. I'm willing to put my budget into this but I'm not currently in the situation to try out many different ways to eventually figure out that only one has been very effective.

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

    Hey Babe, Sebastian,
    with your good looks you should not have a problem of going out "downtown" and pick yourself up a whole bunch
    of young women to sit daily at the pc for you in their own homes and post on craigslist, myspace, yuwie, face-
    book etc. (falls Du nicht verheiratet bist) otherwise, let your wife do it for you to find a girls club & recruit some
    volunteers for it. Also churches might be helpful, after all it is for improvement of humanity, this free lance stuff.
    Besides, Freelance is for inventors, smart cookies, so just blast away on your site for help "How to" promote this.
    Give each enrollee incentives to promote it, maybe downline bonuses. Put on a concert (pick a band from myspace) i could go on & on...radio, clubs, give speeches..., call in on radio shows....
    Give your site some "umph" color, i mean, glitter, kitsch, hahaha

    The most widely used business model by sites like elance is to let people post their projects for free, and charge the service provider for bidding on the project. The trick is to get enough of each to make it worthwhile. You could offer both sides free to get both project posters and bidders (which I think you're doing right now). Over time perhaps you could charge the project bidders to list on the site, or bid on available freelance projects.

    Other than that, CPA networks could make you some money on related products and services. Find out what products your site visitors would buy and offer them.
