Advertising for a health site

Hi,

I would like to spend some money on advertising my Phobia forum/site and would like some ideas on what the best strategy would be for paid advertising for a site of this nature.

If it involves health, I think your best bet is getting a good google ranking + writing a lot of articles. Because people who are involved w/ their health are old people and old people read articles and use google.

 

Thanks for your reply. Well this particular site is aimed at any age range because it's a Phobia site. The site has a pr of 4-5 and is no1 for the google search "phobia forum"

I am targeting health centres and local support groups around the world to display leaflets and flyers but I want to know the best strategy for online paid advertising.

Articles are the best way to get traffic to any site, I an not familiar with Phobia, but plan to look into it if I ever find any spare time in the near future...Please keep us posted on your progress

You could put in a dictionary of phobia terms. I downloaded a phobia dictionary to my Palm Pilot that had thousands of phobia entries, so maybe you could find one and add those terms to increase your content...

 

Another idea, you could do advertising through health care job boards (there are hundreds, if not thousands of them). This would give you a targeted audience of health care professionals, who may have a lot to contribute to your forums...
