I want to start selling private advertising on my site.

I am concerned about the effect it will have on my Google rankings. Google doesn't like sites that sell links. What is the difference between selling advertising and selling links?

The main difference between selling links and selling advertising

advertising <----- Link to URL ,, wether it is banner or text link .... It is link selling

Without site link you can provide advertisement .. no probs

At the end of the day when you are selling advertising, that is selling a link, unless there's going to be an image or something there, but no link back to the advertisers website, which I can't see happening.

If you sell links, then you're probably going to attract people who are looking to 'cheat-the-system' by just trying to get a higher PageRank, without doing it the real way.

Just make sure your advertisers are quality, not spam sites looking for a quick buck.
