Our SmartCarofAmerica.com site was launched in 2001. Our Google rank is a 5 and has an Alexa ranking of 64,689. For July, August and Sept the site realized 467,469 unique visitors, with 4,538,613 pageviews. Our newsletter has 15,000 opt-in members; our forum www.smartcarofamerica.com/forums has a membership of 16,370. Could you please give me some ideas on how to find appropriate advertisers? Should I use the services of media buyer/seller? If so which ones would fit our needs? What would be a reasonable price to charge for the available ad space? Such as the right side banner ads, the rotating slide show, text links and banners. I would like to stay clear of affiliate advertising. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, SCOA
One of the easiest ways to start finding advertisers is Googling terms related to your website, and then contacting the AdWords advertisers you see. Although your rates will differ depending on your specific industry, you can take a look at the detailed rates provided by Gawker Media: http://advertising.gawker.com/rates/
The most best hassle-free way to get advertising dollars is with Google AdSense. It provides ads relevant to the content presented on the page... you get paid for EVERY click. If you want a banner on your page then put an banner on your site tomorrow letting people know that you are looking for advertisers. good luck with your endeavours
SCOA is already using AdSense Even if you don't want to create a banner about wanting advertisers, it would be a good idea to create an "Advertise" page where you provide potential advertisers with all the information they need.
