advertisements right from the start?

in my niche, there are four competing sites, now i was wondering that when i launch my site, should i put advertisements right from the start or should i wait for the users to get hang of the site, then put the advertisements?

 

I usually wait until the traffic justifies it.

 

Concentrate on getting traffic to your site. Eat, sleep and crap traffic. Then when the traffic is pouring in...monetize your site with ads

 

Good job finding a niche with only 4 competitors!

 

Suddenly adding advertisements may do more harm than help, so may be you can have some in footer, or somewhere else for now, later when the site gets popular, do the positioning...

that depend on the current traffic, if it's still weak, you won't earn money and moreover, you'll lose your first visitors. Once you're wellknown, begin to advertise and take buks (a lot of)
