this has just started showing up on my ads...
i know what it is...but why did it start now??

i want people to advertise on my site directly, that's the point of having an advertising website..,not thru google...

i just went to my account and it said
"Include me in Onsite Advertiser Sign-up" and it was ticked.... i never ticked that, is it switched on by default?
i can't figure if it was already ticked how come they have only just started showing up?

and how long is it going to take to get rid of it?

    GeM

It has shown up on my sites as well, so yeah... I guess it's on by default. I haven't yet found where you turn it off though.

It started doing it as well here which is quite a shame. Is there any way of turning this off?

switch it off at the bottom of "my account"

but how long does it take to STOP sending those ads? this is bloody criminal....i want people to click 'advertise' and place an advert on my site....not click it and end up at google.

adsense was finally working properly on my site after 2 years of showing the wrong ads...and now this :(

It is also showing on my Site Today.

I Just have to check does it hurt CTR Or not .. As an extra line at the bottom of the ads ... might be benefit for the site .. or might hurt it .. Have to wait see the impact ..

I turned it off, it's still showing right now though. It's kind of pointless at the moment, in my opinion.

    #1 - you don't get any commission.
#2 - you can't have multiple landing pages, not very good if you have multiple sites

I'll probably only turn it on if we get commission for referring advertisers.

The "Ads By Google" is already kind of an advertisement for them. It would be nice to have the option of making that just read "Advertisement" without a link. The perks of premium publisher status, I reckon.

I found some good info at Jenstar's site...however when i try to post a question, i get this Your comment was denied for questionable content
(didn't realise she didn't want any comments or questions, the stuff about animated backgrounds by Aaron Wall was interesting too)

    However,

It seems like "advertise on this site" is switched on by default and you have to go switch it off...
this is nearly as offensive as adblocking by Norton2004 !!

    :D

If someone click on Advertise on this site and signed up for Google Adwords he is infact interested in Advertising on our site which Gives high Quality Ads with High Payout for my opinion it is very good if someone do it but having it on the botton of all the ads might hurt CTR though it just started to appear today on my sites i will give u update on this issue aswell.

As Shwan Said in some post here that his revenue increased when he put up advertisment page that encourage advertisors to advertise on the site using Google Adwords Targeted Site Ads Pay High.

If i am wrong in my point please correct me i am still learning.

    Regards.

The "Advertise on this site" has been running on my website for the last week and a half. From all appearences it doesn't impact on CTR at all.

To those that didn't know about it, Google had a large announcement on the Adsense pages telling you how to disable it before it started to show. Guess you guys missed that.

That depends whether you normally can SELL adverts for more money..
You might prefer they signed up with you for $10/month...instead of 3cents per click :D

If you could set a price for them to advertise with adsense on your site...that would be a whole new ballgame.

and who says they are high quality?..they may target your high traffic website for their mesothelioma crap !!

You have weight in your words ... I have also see money making ads which are not relevant to my site i need to monitor ads on the pages because Payout so far are 40% low then the pervious month.

Do we get any referral commission from Google for people joining Adwords via these new links? Or do they expect us to promote their Adwords service for nothing?

Knowing how evil Google have become, I imagine we get no referral commission.
