wait, sorry but i don't get it. if i had one site with massive traffic, and another with peanuts traffic, and advertisers sign up through my massive traffic site, will they be advertising on my massive traffic site or the peanuts traffic one?

I think this is only a matter of what is written on the landing page when you click "Advertise on this site." Which site you would actually advertise on is a question that you will answer eventually when signing up (or setting up) adwords.

I found this tip somewhere else in the DP forums and it worked for me:

Go to My Account -> On-site Advertiser Sign up, and just delete the site name completely. This way, the landing page will show "Advertise on " where the url is of the site they clicked from.

I turned mine off 2 days ago but "advertise on this site" just won't disappear.

BTW, deleting the site name completely does work well.

What I find very interesting is that so many webmasters did not know about this issue. :)

You would think Google would make issue of this and either correct it or show more work arounds.

Thanks for a great post guys, I never would have noticed this problem otherwise. This might be a good post to have "stickied" so that it is more noticeable for people new to the forums.

Yeah, isn't it interesting, how so many of us were blind to it all the time. Good example of ad blindness :)

I definately turned it off, just adds a little too much extra clutter to my pages.

It takes a few days to actually go away, but it does.
