I've seen domain names displayed on the back of a car It is usually white letters on the back glass or on a license plate trim ring. I've visited a web site once or twice based on an auto advert. Do you ever go to a domain name you've seen on a car? Have you tried this method of advertising?
Yes I check out car adverts ... you never know ... you might find something useful ... oh and I have it on my cars
I've got a couple of names on my race car, mostly sponsors. For example: http://www.burwoodboysracing.com/images/100_2010.jpg My own hosting company is on both the driver's and passenger's door, I've gotten a few people at the track asking me about it and have picked up a total of 1 customer from that.
Just to be clear, I was refering to URL's on passenger cars. I commute 15 miles each way in southern California so I see one or two of these per day and have written down URL's while waiting at a stop light or traveling down the road at 65 miles per hour.
Lots of places online... www.edecals.com www.harrisdecals.com Search for "car decals", there's tons of places.

I haven't used this so far, but will use it near future as I'm starting a local website and I think that this kind of advertising will have a good response over here.
Yes. This is very effective i think. I visited several websites after seeing adverts on the back of some cars. Last week we started using a sticker(domain name) on the back of our Suzuki Swift . i think it is very effective..
On the subject i saw a car the other day with a scrolling lcd sign mounted on his rear passanger seats. It caught my attention. I have thought about it and i have ordered a magnetic sign to mount on the back of my car. I will let you know how it goes.
Mine only cost me $20 - 3" high lettering in white on a dark blue bumper really stands out. Not only when you are driving, but when you are parked as well.
I bet I will have more success with a big sign on top of my car driving around Manhattan than I do with Adsense.
Why not placing your ads on the roofs of cars & trucks? How many time during the working day you look through the window?
