For advertisement, maybe you can give a preview of your google analytics snapshot.

Other than that, a forum needs a lot of active traffic that contributes more posts.

Maybe, you can make your forum to SEO friendly by giving dofollow signature link just like DP forum.

It will attract more spammers and traffic to your forum.

You right click on your signature link in this thread "Advertise Hotspot - Advertisement In Your Hands", then click properties or inspect elements. You should not see any rel="nofollow" tag added to this link in the source code. This is dofollow link.

If you can see any nofollow tag added to the link, then it is nofollow.

Only dofollow link gives PR juice and SERP ranking value in Google, therefore many will hunt for dofollow links for SEO purpose.
