    Hey DP,

    Sort of kept in touch (just about) with the adsense and blogging world.

    I decided it was about time I started writing about my interest in life and what I get up to with regard to that interest.

    The Rising Phoenix Blog - UltraWayUK.Net.

    I've put two ads on there from google adsense, as you can see they stand out a bit. What would you say is best, make them match the background and site colour more or keep it more of a stand out?

    Many thanks.

    IMO dont make it stand out...make the color same as the backgorund color to make it look like regular links...

    try a horizontal banner ad below your collage at the top...:p

    I think it looks a lot better now, it's been blended in on the left hand side.

    I think I will try it this way.

    I would say there are 2 schools of thought on this;

    1 - Make ads stand out as then they are more visible to people and they will be more likely to click on them;

    But I prefer;

    2 - Blend it in with your website and then people dont realise they are clicking on an ad and just think it's all part of your site.

    I find 2 works better on sites that have ads

    looks better but not quite...i think a wider ad on the left side is better to suite the wide navigation links you have...:D

    That's what my line of thinking has been.

    I am working on it. Just wanted to test what it looked like blended.

    Thanks both.
