1) I'm looking to apply nofollow to only the Wordpress footer area, which is pulling links like "top 10 newly added articles", "top 10 most popular articles", etc. How can this be done? Can nofollow be added to the string that pulls this data somehow? 2) On the same note, the footer as well as the "popular posts" plugin is skewing Wordpress' search results badly (the search box at the top of the wordpress blog). When you search for something, you get dozens of irrelevant results, because it is seeing things from the "popular posts" results, as well as the footer, which lists recent articles and other things. Is there a way to block areas from influencing search results?
1. It's fairly easy to add or remove the nofollow tags from your footer links. All you need to do is find the link area in the plugin and add the tag to the code. If your struggling to find it, post the plugin here and ill tell you what code to replace 2. Not sure why this is happening. I use that plugin on a few blogs and I havent noticed any problems with search results
