I placed the php file on my server which runs PHP 5.2.10. I placed the URL to this script in my profile and hit update. The script still says "Your advanced usage script URL is invalid. You can update it.." I have checked the syntax on everything and so far I can't find anything wrong. The site is http://www.smoking-meat.com The script file is at http://www.smoking-meat.com/support-files/keywords.php Any idea what is going on here?
I can click on it and it tries to query but returns "0" The only error I am seeing is the red message at the top that tells me the script is invalid. I did notice that when I go to preferences, it is not saving the address to my script. Not sure if it is supposed to but thought I would mention it. Jeff
Hi, I just signed on to try it, uploaded the tracker script, and am experiencing the same problem. Just wanted to point it is not isolated to just one user. Thnx for any help on this, eager to work with the service. Ariel
Ok, I checked upon receiving the try now message. The URL is invalid message was gone, first thought - YRA! fixed. but then first thing i did is click track back links option and custom charts and it returned, and is back--- namely if i update my account preferences, the Invalid message goes away, but to return upon clicking upon track backlinks or other options.
All is well and fixed on my end! Thanks a bunch.. First time user, so i figured it was probably a minor tweak on my end needed, thanks a bunch for a fast fix! Ariel
Hi, All I get when loading the script is Installed here: http://www.stockmarketinfo.info/keyword-tracker.php Any ideas? Thanks, - Vince
That's normal. You don't use the script directly, you just put it in your preferences on your keyword tracker account.
Looks like the script on my server is generating 500 errors on DP: Warning: file_get_contents(http: //userass@kw.example.com/kw-track.php?se=g&d=10&l=9999&q=my+shiny+keyword&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.website.com&s=1) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.0 500 Internal Server Error in /home/.sites/28/site1/web/tools/keywords/functions.php on line 112
Thanks Shawn, From the looks of this: [client 216.9.35.51] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function json_decode() in /usr/local/www/kwtrack/kw-track.php on line 65 I don't have the Json enabled - tried to add it to extensions.ini but no fix... -apparently json.so is not in the library.
json_decode() is why you need PHP 5.2.0 or higher for the script to work (if you are on a version of PHP lower than 5.2.0, you will be limited to only Bing and Yahoo results).
Yes, saw that - thanks for making sure though. X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.10 Apparently, the version of php that is installed with squirrelmail doesn't add the json.so library. I grabbed it from www aurore net/projects/php-json/ Working now - even with the script running from a password protected area. Thanks for a great tool!
Weird since the json stuff is installed by default with 5.2.0, so whoever compiled it must have had to compile it with --disable-json odd. {shrug} Glad you got it working though.
Unrelated to the previous issue: Bing results are 1 position off for me. Clicking on the keyword link shows the following: Surrounding URLs for "my fancy keyword"... #1: my fancy keyword http: www bing com:80/search?q=my+fancy+keyword #2: Best Fancy Keyword Website http: www fancy example com/ #3: Complete listing of Fancy Keywords http: www fancy-keyword example com/map.html
