I guess I just really want to understand this, so guru's i need your help. I'm going to use my website for this example, www.name-ninja.com , my site is focused on special characters and symbols that anyone can put on anything- ..,by copying and pasting. Now I have already built my website but have not spent much focus on changing up my URL's and Titles which is a main thing for SEO.., so my question is to the guru's: Should I make duplicate pages of my content and change up the URL's and Titles, and change up a few of the Keywords (so that the pages are not exactly duplicate) So the search engines can find me easier? To give you an idea, my website tree currently looks something like this: Now with that being said, should I keep the pages above and duplicate them but add different URL's and TITLE's to them so that the search engines can find them? I'll use the URL: http://www.name-ninja.com/pages/by_style.htm ..this page is strictly for myspace display names. EXAMPLE: (these pages don't actually exist yet) Do I have the right idea about all of this stuff or am I completely wrong?! SEO Gurus?
Too easy! Anyway, AFAIK, the duplicate filter works for the whole page, but for the contents more than anything else! And one of the reasons is to leave only one, as one of the same kind is enough for internet searchers. A different title or URL wouldn't make it useful for the users, so ideally, the filter would stop those from showing up in the SERPs.
You don't want to make dupliacated page , its bad for seo and for the users. Even if you change and mix some words, you will still have a duplicated page. Use copyscape.com to check for duplicates and see if it finds you twice.
This is a canonical tag issue and I would reccommened reading this: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/canonica...t-advancement-in-seo-practices-since-sitemaps
