[Advanced SEO] PAD submission

    Mission

Convert each article into a .exe ebook and submit to software directories.

    Question

Has anyone done this? Technically it would bring you at least somewhere around 200 - 300 links to each article, but how would search engines behave? How would software directories behave? If you have 50 articles and submit each as an ebook, that would equal around 15.000 backlinks in say a month.

In theory this is neither spam, nor any shady technique, since you give exactly what you promote on your website...

    Thoughts?

P.S. I'm not talking about root domain submission, but submission of many inner pages.

Dude, this is freaking great idea!!! I never thought of that before. I've done this with creating toolbars but this would be much easier and very simple.

The only problem I'd foresee is some of big sites edit each pad submission. If they don't consider it "software" then it will probably get declined; nontheless, it's quantity of quality. Submit it 1000 sites, you're going to get some. I was just declined this morning Avang(add the word "ate") to rest of it for a toolbar I created yesterday.

There is software that submits the PAD files to each software directory. I certainly wouldn't use this method heavily as google will notice your 15k backlinks all from software websites.

Most software "respositories" (not directories) don't have direct backlinks, they usually always use redirectional scripts. Not to mention they won't consider it valid software, it's a great idea but will waste more time than anything in my opinion.

I've tried one submission and it took over 1 month for all the links to register as backlinks, so don't worry about that. It also takes a while for other smaller software directories to pick up your "spam" and list it on their site as well.

My results: A lot of the links I got were nofollow. A lot of the links I got had no anchor text, so it just showed as http://www. website .com as the anchor. This is useless, since it's a PR 0 link. I concluded it wasn't worth it - but maybe you'll have better results?

Isn't this the same idea as "30 Minute Backlinks"?

Also, since you're submitting to the same directories over and over, you're pretty limited on the number of unique IP links you can get.. so probably 3 - 4 submissions is more than enough to milk this technique.

I agree. Probably its best to stick to root domain. Even if some links are nofollow and some with no/different anchors, you do get a few links. I was thinking of doing it just for the sake of testing, but decided rather not to waste my time and submit ALL the articles.

I don't know about that technique, sounds a little black hat to me.
    I personally wouldn't try it.
But if you are trying to submit articles and/or ebooks, I found that Scribd brings a lot of traffic/hits to my clients sites.

Hi all, PAD submission site is mostly used in online gaming, mobile and computer software industry. They are submitting their software to those sites for people to test or to sell their products. I have encountered around 200+ sites where it is possible to submit PAD files. Through this sites, you can also send the update of the software. I am not expert in this but I have only experience reviewing around 600-700 of this sites. I will soon find out if PAD file submission will be good for site's SERP.

I suggest you do it manually as auto submits don't have 100% accuracy and consistency as human or manual submission. Also you can counter check for errors.

PAD submission has nothing to do with SEO, I have been trying this for long time, submitted toolbars to 1000s of sites but nothing happened to my ranking. :(

they are nofollow, usually redirection links which are not even visible to google :p
but just few dir are good but not very much effect overall. so dont waste your time in it
