I am attempting to put the advanced script for keyword tracking on my web site using FrontPage2002. I have added a new page for the script, ending the page name in a php extension name. Before I publish it can someone tell me if this is what I was supposed to do? I wasn't sure if I was supposed to start a new page or add it to an existing page. Thanks, Carol
Probably the way to drive it would be to a redirect page on your site. At that page you collect info about the click, insert that info into a database, then forward to your real landing page. You could also set some sort of cookie that you could check for on your confirmation page to feed any order or sognup information back into the the database. If the above sounds like gobbldy-gook you probably need to gihire a developer-
What are you on about iShopHQ? I think you're talking about something completely different. Try it as you said you would. If your server is PHP enabled, just FTP it and it should work, just bypass all the FP stuff.
Do as TOPS suggests, forget about FP and just ftp the php page upto your server root. ishop I can only assume you were reading a different thread on another window and answered in this thread by mistake.
doh! I though she was talking about developing a script for doing keyword tracking, not uploading an existing one..... Sorry!
Luckily iShopHQ's didn't make sense to me. TOPS30 & jlawrence, thanks! That is what I needed to know. I've definately learned a lot doing my own web site as I didn't know a thing when I first started. Now, I know a bit and will keep learning as I go. I appreciate when others help. Carol
