Greetings all, I'm fairly new to CJ, and was wondering how the links work specifically, and I've come up with a few questions... 1. Many of these CJ links have image tags on them, which I'm assuming is to track impressions. For example, you might find <a href="http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-PID-linkID" target="_top">Here's the link text</a><img src="http://www.ftjcfx.com/image-PID-linkID" width="1" height="1" border="0"/> Code (markup): Is it okay if I just drop the image tag? Will I still get paid? Will clicks still be counted? 2) What defines a click? For example, say I go to my website, and click a CJ link three times within the course of an hour. Is that three clicks, or is it just one click? 3) Sometimes, you are allowed to do url redirects... What are the limits on these? Say I have an URL that is something like http://www.merchant.com?variable=4453 Also suppose I have a list of 1000 variables (and thus 1000 links) that I want to list. Can I just use a php script to dynamically create all 1000 links on the fly? For example... <?php for($i=0; $i<sizeof($value); $i++){ echo '<a href="http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-111111-222222?url=http://www.merchant.com?variable='.$value[$i].'">Link '.$i.'</a>'; } ?> Code (markup): Is that valid for CJ? Can you just link to anywhere in the merchant's domain, or how does that work?? Finally, how long does it usually take for the performance reports to update? I try clicking on a link that I have, but then it doesn't seem to show up in my Performance Report...Also, there are no impressions there right away either... Thanks in advance for any help...
1. yes, http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-PID-linkID, is all you need to register a click and potenially a sale. If you run PPC that is your destination url. 2. Three clicks. 3. Sorry, not sure on that one. Anyone else......where is Kerosene when you need him?? all the best and good luck
