Just sharing my recent bad experience with AdultFrienderFinder. I'm just including the [possibly a bit strong] email I just sent them, it explains pretty much everything.
Maybe you should take the time to read terms and conditions before you signup. Everything you are complaining about is explained pretty clearly. PPC programs always have conditions like that. You should use PPS or Revs. PPC is always just one big headache, no one wants to pay for non converting clicks. Also you might want to think twice about harming a company's reputation on a public message board with false accusations.
They are not a scam, they wouldnt risk there business on 70$. Try black label ads, they convert well.
I did read the TOC. They do clearly state that you may be converted to PPC, so I knew that was always a possibility. My account is over a year old, and when I finally get to where I can get a payout, THAT'S when they convert me. I'm sorry, but any way you look at it, that's bull crap. What "false" accusations did I make? Everything I stated was completely correct. I know they legally did nothing wrong, but morally, it is wrong. And why should I think twice about posting this? Is the board becoming communist now, where I'm not able to share my opinion about a poor company?

some of you guys defending AFF are the biggest bunch of idiots. They are a scam artist and specialisze in defrauding people just like OP described above. I too have been a victim and have posted my experience in another thread. They kept on pushing me to display more and more and evenen newer banners to get clicks for several months and as soon as time came to pay up......dropped the balance from something like $72 to $2 ya baby! Still it is DISGUSTING that they are in business and on top of that many idiots try to defend them. Where the bloody hell on earth their TOS specify that the account will be converted at the payment time which may be several months down the road?
I also agree, AdultFriendFinder are the biggest load of rip off merchants since Zango... If you have any sense, you will stay away from those thiefs.
As I stated, they're LEGALLY not doing anything wrong. They do make it quite well known that you can be converted, but waiting until after you've sent tons of traffic and then giving you a tiny, tiny fraction of what you thought you were making is disgusting.
If you have shitty traffic AFF will do this. Dont blame them, blame your self for having crappy converting traffic. With the program im using i convert 1:30 pays $5 per email, its on an amateur related website and its making a killing. Ditch AFF.
I think most of the people here defending AFF are shills from AFF. Even worse than what you said, they sometimes convert you months AFTER you make the minimum payout and don't get paid! It happened to me. See what they wrote to me here. They refused to pay my $127 when it was due. After I complained and wrote to them, which they ignored, 3-4 months later they converted me to a percentage system. I told them that it didn't matter if they converted me NOW or not, because the $127 was due 3 months ago, and that I knew long ago that they would do this to weasel out of it, and they did, according to my prediction. Then they compromised and said they would give me half of the $127. Finally I said fine ok. Then they said my account was banned and ended communication with me. Is that F***ed or what?!?!?!?!?!?!?! They did do something legally wrong in my case which was even worse than what happened to you. I get to the payout point, and they don't even convert me or pay up and don't even answer my emails. Finally after 2 or 3 months, they answer my email saying that the $127 I earned from their promo came from questionable traffic. Then later they convert me. I explained to them that I reached pay out 2-3 months ago, and they still owed me. But they acted dumb and didn't understand that. So basically, they converted me 2-3 months AFTER PAYOUT and to them, that cancels out the payout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF?
