Haha I thought some people here might enjoy the irony of this. For those unfamiliar, AdultFriendFinder is kind of a dating site? But actually is for sex/swingers. Hence the tremendous irony of it being ranked #69. Screenshot available here (I would post the image direct, but this crap is a bandwidth drain) But I have to say, I'm impressed. Almost all of that is traffic from their affiliate program. Supposedly that site is raking in hundreds of millions. Ugh.
haha perhaps. If I were them, I would just stop accepting new affiliates to keep that rank. Ok, perhaps not. But I'm sure I'd consider it.
Ok. AdultFriendFinder=sex and swingers If you don't get the inuendo, may I reccomend UrbanDictionary? I'm also making a vague reference to the true power of affiliate programs. There's some info on the page, and there's is damn incredible. If only I was an adult webmaster. ::sigh::
Well when webmasters can earn almost $85 bucks per sign up with Adult Friend Finder.... I would promote this affiliate program like crazy. They also have monthly prizes where the top webmaster can make $10K. But the adult market seems to be saturated with Adult Friend Finder ads
You know, I'd think so too. But places like pornotube are swing 150k+ per month, and it appears at least that it's their primary advertisement method. I feel an original approach could be nice. If I had a decent adult site, I'd actually consider making a custom banner.
Wasn't that site acquired for something in the $1 billion range? One of those billion dollar deals you don't get to read about in the newspaper. The pr0n business is huge.
Yes the story about the take over appeared on TechCrunch some days back, But still alexa of 69 is really awesome.
That site does more that 200 Billion $ per year I read an article on business2 a while ago, here is the link http://money.cnn.com/magazines/business2/business2_archive/2007/04/01/8403370/index.htm
Why yes sir, you may have. It is also not beyond the realm of possibility that you read about it on propeller or sphinn hehe.
