I'm pretty sure a good few of you have these sorts of sites. I have never had one but thought about it many times due to the amount of traffic and possible revenue from them. I just have a few questions about legal issues from them:

    1) I know there is some law in the united states that requires all people to give a mailing address of the person custodian of records or something. However, does this just apply to the original creator. Ie, if you have a site where you repost promo galleries from porn sites would you be required to post these on your site also?

I was thinking of having a blog that displayed these images that went to the hosted gallery and then u can make money through signup, and also generate a lot of traffic to your site. Can anyone think of any other legal issues that could arise?

    Thanks for the input
    -Kevin

This will apply to the original creator. If you have permissions to the media, you may want to link to those USC 2257 from the original creator and you are fine. This document is vital as it would show that the site uses models who are above the ages of 18.

There is no issue. People usually will not read the USC 2257, it is there to comply to the law and protect yourself.

Yup, it does. Besides, it does not quite cost you anything to add it. In fact, it can just be a link to a txt file containing the USC 2257 information gathered from all the programs you signed up with. Let the original owners bother about the legal aspects with the authorities.

As long as you don't assume those photos are yours, you do not need to deal with the authorities about it. Those record keeping can be a pain.
