You guys know those AFF ads with the thumbnails of the girl profiles that are geotargetted to your IP/ISP? I have a friend that is actually a model on one of them. I see her pic all the time and many times it's for different FAKE profile links. Shouldn't AFF be liable for false claims / false advertising? Isn't their some law against this? Didn't another dating site just get sued for a bunch of fake profile trickery?
Whether I have it on my sites or not is irrelevant. This is a discussion forum. Back to the topic, the AFF advertising has always bugged me and I had suddenly realized that others have been sued for false claims. BTW yes I have used AFF and found it to suck anyway.
the webmasters are using a custom script to import models/solo girl paysite gals to make ads more attractive
if there was a problem with it it would have already been fixed or they would have already been sued. What should be the matter at hand is that its ridiculous that you have used aff.
Nah they pay models then use a fake username/age database to merge with your geotargetted location. I know this for a fact. I know one of the models and she has never even been on AFF they just paid her for a photo shoot. Try refreshing a page with the AFF banner and if you pay close enough attention you'll see the same thumbnail with a few dif usernames/ages cycled through.
1. nothing wrong with trying out dif affiliates 2. just because someone hasn't been sued doesn't mean what they are doing is legal.
to frawsty: I think your model should read the agreement with AFF. She can also ask AFF to remove such ads.
as already said AFF puts a disclaimer mentioning about the models... on the other hand i've made good money with AFF.. i've made over 10k since 2005 when i started promoting them.. i just wish i had made more. i know of some guys making 10k per month..
