Adult content on site, but without ads

Okay, is it acceptable to have some partial adult content on one section of a website, only to note have ads there?

For example, say I have a site that has pictures and whatnot that shows google adsense. One section of the site requires you to agree your 18 or over. You go to that section. It contains adult content, but no google ads.

    Is this acceptable?

Technically yes, but it depends on how much adult content you have on the whole site.

This is an email I got concerning something simmilar.

    "Thanks for your email.

I understand you'd like a clarification on our adult content policy.

We generally do accept this type of content, however until your site is
completed it is uncertain to determine if it would be acceptable in the
    AdSense program.

Please understand that we ask that you only put Google ads on pages that
comply with our program policies. In addition, please be aware that
although you are permitted to have some adult content, we also require the
majority of your site to be "Family safe."

As you mentioned in your email, if you do decide to place a small portion
of adult content, we kindly ask that you do not display Google ads on
    these pages.

Finally, I want to emphasize that we monitor all sites displaying Google
ads or an AdSense for search box to ensure compliance with our program
policies. Any site that is in violation of our policies will be contacted
and asked to remove the Google code.

I hope this information was helpful, and we thank you for your
    cooperation.

For additional questions, feel free to post your question on the forum
just for AdSense publishers: the AdSense Help Group
    (http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help).

    Sincerely,

    Sunil
    The Google AdSense Team"

But in order to be certain, you can always ask them.

    I see.

So would the best way to proceed be to 1) finish the site without any adsense ads and then 2) email google and ask?
