AdToll now allowing shared/free domains

Since we launched we had a policy where we did not allow free/shared domains.

We have now lifted this requirement as we know there are a lot of publishers using a free/shared domain that are wanting to use our service.

I thought it might be worthwhile letting the DP community know as I know a lot on here do use a free/shared domain like blogspot.com

We did announce it on our blog earlier today as well - http://blog.adtoll.com/2007/12/08/adtoll-now-accepting-freeshared-domains/

Nice job. I believe it's a good news for many publishers.

I thought you said you'll never accept free domains like blogspot (-_-*)

Can I use sytes.net? I use it for my dedicated server and I don't feel like to waste $30 a year on DNS

Yes well we had a re-think of our policy and it really doesn't make any sense. The real only issue we had was the Alexa, where our Advertisers would be confused by the low Alexa ranks on some of these big blogging domains.

What we do now for shared domains is not give them an Alexa rank so our advertisers won't be confused by it.

Let's face it... it doesn't make much business sense to not allow a whole range of Publishers access to our platform.

You can use any shared/free domain.
