Is it possible during maintence you can put default ads or something so my site still loads.

I have taken them down since it sucks when that happens ;)

Unfortunately maintenance is part of life and it was scheduled.

The best thing to do is put the ad code within an IFRAME to avoid any issues of our ad code affecting the performance of your site.

I would recommend putting your ads in an iframe. Although maintenance is a part of life, most of the larger and more reputable networks will do maintenance and still leave the ads running on the publishers sites with them still earning money as far as I know.

You are absolutely right and couldn't agree more but it was our ad server that was being upgraded which required the machine to be switched off.

We are actually currently planning infrastructure upgrades to our network to cater for the growth we are experiencing.

... and as we continue to grow we will be putting in place more infrastructure to provide minimal interruption of service etc..

You can see adbrite. They do maintenance regularly but their ads always live
