You stated: Yes, I understand how it works, but I still do not see the difference between Adtoll and Adbrite. It just seems you are copying Adbrite, and that that is even hit or miss. Ever hear of the slogan offen imitated but never duplicated?
They are different... They offer different types of adverts. You could say Yahoo is coping Google as they are similar. (In advertising network) Doesn't make it true.
We do have our point of differences yes and we are still quite young and we have plenty more features to roll out.
i signed up as a publisher a couple of days back and doesnt seems to do well ...could ya tell me something ..it ask for the maximum number of ad pool ??? whats that ...n the ads appearing on my site are not related to the keywords ...i got about 3000 views till now in 2 days and not a single click wheareas i was earning a bit from adbrite from the same positining of ads ..plz let me know if im doing something wrong ..i guess its not tracking my clicks or some other problem i dont know help me ruby plzzzz
We are not a contextual network so keywords has absolutely nothing to do with it. You do have control over the ads... you set RESTRICTED INDUSTRIES when you set your site up so that ads in those industries will not appear. It also depends on your ad placement. We are an Ad Management service.... we are here more for publishers that want to make money SELLING ads on their sites not just to try and make money form network ads. We fill your ad pool with network ads so you can make something while your pool isn't full of Sponsored Ads. If you are not happy with the network ads then use the new Default Ad feature... you can show whatever ads you want there instead like Adsense ads. The advantage there is you can still use AdToll to sell ads on your site, and when there are none sold it will show your Default Ad. Read about it here - http://blog.adtoll.com
For anyone interested our latest blog entry is a Publisher Spotlight about our current top performing site The Game Homepage. http://blog.adtoll.com/2007/08/28/publisher-spotlight-the-game-homepage/
Hey there, I've been using AdToll for a week or two and I'm quite happy with it. Something I'd like to know is if there's a way for me to see the ads that I bought through the AdToll website. In other words, I bought 3 ad spaces from some sites on your publisher list and I received an email with a link to a page that shows stats about how those Ad Campaigns are doing. My question is if there's a way for me to go to those pages through the AdToll website, instead of having to go to that email and click on the link. I'd really appreciate the information.
Absolutely! You go to your account area and there is a whole section for your booked ads where you can see stats and then view the stats and info. Your account area is at https://www.adtoll.com/account.php Dan
That's covered thoroughly in the Publisher FAQ at http://www.adtoll.com/publishers.php But for reference:
Just thought it would be worth providing an update to DP members via the forum... As we grow we are also evolving our service and the latest feature to be released is Goal TRacking. What this does is allow Advertisers to determine the real success of their campaigns by tracking conversions. We have a couple of entries on our blog that explain it further and we even have a case study where you can see it in action. http://blog.adtoll.com/2007/09/08/upcoming-goal-tracking-on-ad-campaigns/ http://blog.adtoll.com/2007/09/12/case-study-goal-tracking-on-an-ad-booking/ A couple of weeks ago we also released the Default Ad feature where Publishers can set up a default ad and weight it against the AdToll Run of Network ads. This allows Publishers to better monetize their ad space by diversifying their advertising effort and helps increase ad variances to improve the overall CTR of the Ad Group. If anyone has any feedback please let us know we are very open and appreciate any sort of constructive criticism or praise!
